Suzie - FdA Fashion Marketing & Promotion (Online Delivery)

Suzie is currently taking the Foundation Degree Fashion Marketing & Promotion (Online Delivery), a 2 year course taught completely online.

Why did you choose to study at LCF in this way?

I chose to study at LCF because of the reputation of the college and because it offered the exact course that I wanted online! It was also the ideal length of course for me as foundation degrees run over two years.

Why did you choose to study a degree that was delivered online?

Due to personal commitments and being a 'stay at home' full time mum to two sons, studying at home online was the ideal choice for me, and suited my lifestyle. It works so well for me to study from home, as it would not be possible with two small children to study full time in college. So it's a great way to study! I know some other students who study in this way back in Canada (which is where I am originally from), and I never thought of studying 'in college'. I only ever wanted to study in this way. I researched online courses in this area and found this course.

How is the course work completed online?

The course work and assignments are sent to us by email. Although you do not have immediate access to your lecturers (i.e. face to face or during classes) the 'classes' are run online as online chats with tutors, and in work groups with other students. I have completed two modules within the course so far, as this is my first year.

What magazines, or lifestyle or professional publications do you read on a regular basis?

As I am obviously interested in the industry, and how fashion is promoted, I read Drapers, Grazia, Marie Claire and Style.com.
