What do you love most about LCF?

I think that specifically for menswear, there is a real freedom. LCF encourages creativity and as a menswear designer it’s been amazing to explore what I can achieve creatively. Living in London is amazing, London is a fertile ground for creativity, it’s in the air, its receptive.

Tell us about the part of your collection you are most proud of?

I‘m proud of the actual pieces in the collection, and my personality really comes across such as in the green coat with the interlocking fingers which I love. The most important thing to me when I am designing is looking at the unexplored, the new and my personality I want to create, not just make.

Which designers do you most admire?

I’m really inspired by the designers at Maison Martin Margiela and also at, COMME des GARÇONS; if I could work for anyone I would love to work for the Belgian designer Walter van Beirendonck, as I love his work. I first discovered him online and I’ve been following his work since I was in high school!

What would you say is unique about you?

I think because I am purely into the concept – I get obsessed by it. Of course I care about the look of the garments, but designing for me is about the dream and the ideas I have in my head. I try to reach a balance between wearability and creativity.

What are you looking forward to most about showing your collection on the catwalk?

I’m really looking forward to presenting my work and seeing the reaction to my collection – I want to challenge the audience by the nonsense of storytelling.
