My experiences on the MA Fashion Journalism at LCF have been very useful in my current role as Events Assistant at the British Fashion Council. Understanding the processes behind fashion editorial and the way PR companies function has really helped me and I apply this knowledge to the way I communicate with these two industries and also in the running of fashion week. I also found that the designers, stylists, editors and art directors Andrew Tucker profiled on the course and some of the key speakers he brought to our lectures gave me a head start at the Fashion Council where I quickly built upon this knowledge. I still try to keep up my writing in my spare time and recognise I would not have been able to apply for the internship that led to this role had I not been on the MA.
