Chetna Hirani, 20 years old from North West London. Chetna is in her 2nd year of the BSc Cosmetic Science degree.

Why did you want to study at LCF?

I have a background in beauty therapy but I wanted to break out of the salon environment. I really like to do hands on work and learn about the business at the same time. This course is really good for that.

What are your hopes for the future?

I want to work in Marketing Research with a big cosmetic company like L'Oreal or Estee Lauder. I'm actually doing a placement with L'Oreal next year, which will be great.

Has studying at LCF helped you overcome any particular challenges?

When I started the course I didn't know which area I wanted to go into but now, since doing live projects with companies like Avon, I know I want to do something in Marketing Research. The 2nd year has influenced me more in terms of my career and aspirations. I know what I want to do now.
