3rd-year BA (Hons) Fashion Photography student Matjaz Tancic is offering his work for sale to raise funds for those affected in the Haiti earthquake. All proceeds from his project NEW heART for HAITI will go to the Slovenian Red Cross.

LCF will be running a special day of workshops as part of Discover Young Hackney ’10, a youth arts and culture festival for young people from Hackney. On Saturday 20 February young people can have a go at two of the three workshops on offer:
- Printmaking – put your own designs onto soft bags
- 3D construction – create sculptural designs onto a mannequin using paper and other material
- Fashion illustration – a series of drawing exercises introducing you to illustration.
All workshops will take place at our Mare Street site in the east end of London, to apply you have to be aged 11 – 19 and residents of Hackney will be prioritised. LCF are also pleased to be working with Sed*8 a new street and youth culture magazine for east London which is created by and for young people. Sed*8 will be running a 4 week course in graphic design at LCF’s Mare Street site as part of the Discover Young Hackney Festival. This is your chance to learn new skills and become a contributor for a really exciting magazine.

Nintendo launched their new game Style Boutique with a competition to find the UK’s best young stylist. LCF creative director Tony Glenville was one of the judges of the competition, which concluded at a prize-giving at Manchester’s Trafford Centre. The winners were awarded LCF Short Course vouchers among other prizes. Course advisors were on hand throughout the day.
