Research at LCF

Research at LCF thrives within the College's unique specialist environment and is supported and resourced by dedicated research facilities such as its world-class Library and Archive.

LCF's pioneering projects, partnerships and degrees form an integral part of research within the University, which achieved a high rating in the 2008 research assessment exercise.

Research within fashion design, fashion textiles and technology includes collaborative work with world renowned designers; scientists and engineers; costume design and production for national theatres and productions; curations and exhibitions of fashion and textiles at prestigious trade fairs and galleries, and catwalk shows and performances.

Additionally, individual staff are engaged in substantial research activity in the fields of cultural and historical studies in fashion and textiles, pedagogy, cosmetic and beauty science, fashion business and marketing and fashion communication, fashion imagery and fashion journalism.

London College of Fashion feeds directly into the University of the Arts London Research Strategy.
