Scholarships

We are immensely grateful to the many partners and benefactors who make a growing range of scholarships available at London College of Fashion. Our responsibility towards some of our most talented students extends to providing financial support during studies and awards for academic excellence.

The scholarship is available to UK, European and International students.

Cordwainers Awards

Each year, a number of awards are given to Foundation Degree and Honours Degree Footwear and Accessories students. The awards will be presented at the LCF awards ceremony and successful students will be awarded prizes of £500-£750 each.

The Nicolas Samuel Celebratory Scholarships

London College of Fashion is pleased to announce that 5 scholarships worth a total of £50,000, equating to a £10,000 scholarship for each student, have been set up, to encourage students to apply for courses across two LCF Schools – the School of Management & Science and the School of Fashion Design & Technology.

These scholarships are being offered to celebrate the life of Nicolas (Nick) Samuel who died in 2010, aged 58.

Former chief executive of retailer Hobbs and former finance director of womenswear chain Karen Millen; Nick was respected and loved by many in the fashion industry. Nick gave enormous experience and energy to support a diverse range of companies from green e-tailer Adili, and cashmere specialist N. Peal. He was also a non-executive director at sportswear retailer Blacks and was a loyal friend of London College of Fashion, regularly attending the graduate shows.

Nick inspired many, not only through his passion for retail, but also through his many personal achievements, which included running marathons in aid of the Retail Trust, the Fashion and Textile Children’s Trust, Breast Cancer and various other charities. His life was full and varied encompassing support for numerous charities, many sporting activities, mentoring young people, Fellowship at the RSA, as well as a demanding professional life. An intrinsically kind man, Nick believed fervently in giving people a chance to chase their dreams; to this end he encouraged and helped others wherever he could. To perpetuate this mindset his family and friends are pleased to support undergraduates starting off on their own paths.
