Scholarships
Our responsibility towards some of our most talented students extends to providing financial support. We are immensely grateful to the many partners and benefactors who make a growing range of scholarships available at LCF.
Please note that all the scholarships listed below are subject to confirmation for the 2009-2010 academic year. Please check back here in the coming weeks or visit the University's Scholarships and Bursaries pages.
Available at undergraduate level:
Cordwainers' BA Footwear Scholarship
Open to Home/EU and International applicants for BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear. The scholarship is valued at Home/EU fees.
The above has been renamed 'Professor Jimmy Choo Awards'.
Penultimate and final year students on the footwear and accessories undergraduate courses will be invited to pitch for awards to fund final collections. Details will be available from the Director of Programmes.
Marchpole Awards
Open to Home/EU and International students in their final year of BA (Hons) Womenswear, Menswear and Surface Textiles to assist in the funding of their final collections. The award is valued at £10,000 to be split between 4 or 5 final year BA students.
Cordwainers Awards
Each year a number of awards are given to Diploma, Foundation and Honours Degree Footwear and Accessories students. The awards are between £500-£750 each.
Available at postgraduate level:
Lulu Guinness Scholarship
Open to students applying to the MA Fashion Artefact for start in 2010. This £20,000 single scholarship has been offered by Lulu Guinness in celebration of her 20th anniversary as a leading accessories designer. It aims to help young designers realise their potential through professional studies and the development of their skills in Accessories design.
British Fashion Council Creative Pattern Cutting Scholarship
Open to students on a London-based Creative Pattern Cutting course who would for financial reasons be otherwise unable to take up a place. The scholarship comprises fee payment and/or a contribution towards expenses, and is supported by the London Development Agency.

British Fashion Council MA Scholarship
Open to students on a London-based MA Fashion Design course who would for financial reasons be otherwise unable to take up a place. The scholarship comprises fee payment and/or a contribution towards expenses, and is supported by the London Development Agency.

Cordwainers' MA Footwear Scholarship
Open to Home/EU and International MA Footwear applicants, the scholarship covers the cost of Home/EU fees and a contribution to the cost of materials.
Cordwainers' Postgraduate Footwear Scholarship
Open to Home/EU and International footwear applicants at both MA and PhD level. The scholarship covers the cost of Home/EU fees and a contribution to the cost of materials.
Tillman Scholarships
These scholarships are aimed at students applying to a Postgraduate level course. They are specifically intended to encourage applications from those who will benefit from further study but who are unable to finance themselves. There are 10 scholarships available at £15,000 each.
Unilever Scholarship
Open to all MA students this scholarship is aimed at supporting students with their final major projects. Each year is focused on a general theme, which usually represents some form of new thinking for sustainable futures and supports new perspectives on fashion.
London College of Fashion Graduation Awards
The College gives a number of prizes to graduating students at both BA and MA level.
AHRC
The University of the Arts London will be offering Postgraduate Studentships for studies at Masters level commencing in October 2010. The Studentships are being offered under either the new Arts & Humanities Research Council Block Grant Partnership scheme or under the AHRC Postgraduate Studentship Competition.
