The Old Spitalfields Market runs an extensive public arts and events programme as well as market stalls ranging from traders markets with contemporary and vintage fashion, music, bespoke children's toys, jewellery and accessories. 

Brick Lane is world famous for its Bangladeshi cuisine and culture. In the 17th Century the area became a centre for weaving, tailoring and the clothing industry; more recently the area has grown into a vibrant art and fashion scene.
