Current Research
Curating an exhibition on men in fashion photography for the Photographer's Gallery, London in July 2009 and co-curating an exhibition about SHOWstudio and progressive fashion image-making to be staged at Somerset House, London in September 2009.
Recent Research
Editor in Chief of SHOWstudio.com from 2001-8, where I commissioned and curated many interdisciplinary, collaborative projects and exhibitions that explored the future of fashion editorial and advertising for the Internet.
Exhibitions
In addition to hundreds of online exhibitions focused on historical and contemporary fashion photographers, fashion designers, artists, performers, musicians, stylists, hair and make-up artists and set designers, I have curated exhibitions, screening programmess and projects for 'real world' organisations, retail spaces and festivals including: The Victoria & Albert Museum; Toronto Photography Festival; The British Film Institute; Hyères Festival of Art & Fashion; Liberty; Colette and Dysfashional, Luxembourg.
Talks & Conferences
I have presented research at a wide range of international insitutions, universities and venues including: The V&A, London; The National Portrait Gallery, London; Tate, London; Cooper Hewitt, New York; Hong Kong Conference and Convention Centre; LASALLE, Singapore; Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna.
